Inevitably dating profiles are gonna be full of gross, obvious class signaling but isn't "love to travel" more gross and obvious than most?

@chaosprime probably depends how you delineate "dating profile". Like, does that include Tinder/Grindr/etc? Everyone has phones. -
@XaiaX It was somebody talking about Tinder profiles that prompted my thought, so I seem to be including those. -
@chaosprime "travel" is such a common thing that it's probably invisible as a status marker. Like saying you live in a house. -
@XaiaX Presumably some other phenomenon explains 0% of profiles mentioning living in a house and approximately 107% mentioning travel. -
@chaosprime@XaiaX common icebreaker topic -
@DrPizza@chaosprime "travel" is a broad marker. Where someone travels TO (and how) is probably the gross/obvious indicator. -
@DrPizza@chaosprime e.g., "we drove to Disneyland" vs. "we took a cruise to Puerta Vallarta" vs. "skiing in the alps". -
