@NoirMJ @politiquestions struggling with this one tbh. a comic shop that barely pays the owner's rent (no food) is a racket?

@NoirMJ
@politiquestions i mean, it's a bullshit excuse for a business, certainly, but i feel like "racket" implies someone is making money -

@chaosprime i sympathize with the ppl who get the short end of the stick in both situations but it's still exploiting public funds -
@politiquestions what's the public funds? -
@chaosprime snap, medicaid, etc. arguably the owner might not be the one doing the exploiting, but it affects employers and market wages -
@politiquestions *nodnod* gotcha. it's an actual situation i have in mind and none of that is being used, but obvs that isn't general. -
@politiquestions probably unclear that this isn't a defense of $7.25 vs. $15, that business can't afford to pay anyone $7.25 either. -
@politiquestions only exists because people prop it up because they believe in it. very anarchist exercise, really.

@chaosprime yes, just a terribly designed one from the POV of the shop owner. less bad from the POV of capitalism itself.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
