We're taught to avoid run on sentences because it's not "proper" English, but then you read classics w/huge paragraphs in only 3 sentences.
@SugarxBomber it's any sentence where independent clauses are just jammed together without a coordinating conjunction.

@SugarxBomber "we went to the bar they had a lot of beer there" is a run-on (and also quite short). slap a semicolon in it and it's fine. -
@chaosprime Oh no, that's certain. It is confusing for a lot of students to grasp. But the line I just read could easily be broken up. -
