I have a question about Wasteland 2. How does INT relate to skill points? I've heard different things about how it works.
@Firebomb173 and if you have low awareness you'll basically be lucky to ever get an action

@chaosprime Yeah, the char would be a total ball and chain in combat. I did the stats and even if I dumped everything left over after int -
@chaosprime and cha into awareness it would only hit 4. So it probably isn't suitable for a beginning player. -
@Firebomb173 yeah, and low STR makes the inventory management subgame exponentially more frustrating and annoying -
@chaosprime Well can't I have one giant with 8 str to make up for a wimp char? -
@Firebomb173 hm, maybe. i don't recall the formula offhand but it kinda felt like having decent strength all-around was better.

@Firebomb173 i like to have a high-CHA character for a leader, but getting high INT with that too would be really painful -
@chaosprime Yeah. Just wondering, does strength affect what weapons you can use? -
@Firebomb173 yeah, but not too horribly if you don't want to wield a sledgehammer, it's a bigger deal for armor -
@chaosprime Alright, could I make up for weak armor with a high dodge rating? -
@Firebomb173 tbh evasion and armor both felt fairly useless, the main way to not get hurt is to kill them first -
@Firebomb173 evasion seems nearly impossible to get up to any significant level though. -
@chaosprime Alright. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for your help. -
@chaosprime Just one last quest, how useful is luck? - 2 more replies
