Huh. Maybe I should reconsider Scala. Googling for Haskell jobs mentions it a lot.
@camlorn38 yeah, apparently you can't *really* use it without leaning on Java imports half the time, so that's gonna be pretty halfassed

@chaosprime Heh. THat's not the biggest issue. In scala, domain-specific language is the tool of the day.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@chaosprime Find me a library in scala that doesn't define one. -
@camlorn38 sure, it seemed like the whole point of Scala was to be a DSL construction kit -
@chaosprime I don't think that was the original intent, but I wasn't there and it is now. -
@camlorn38 my belief is that the language is named for it, the idea being that it's "scalable" into specific domains rather than usual usage

@chaosprime That said, akka looks pretty cool, I'm not entirely convinced it's not a good fit, and I like functional programming.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@chaosprime But twisted is an even better fit, and I'm thinking it will be fast enough, so we'll see. Still, job in haskell=cool. -
@camlorn38 so i'm sure this is a dumb question, but if you're considering Twisted, what's wrong with using Node and calling reduce() a lot? -
@chaosprime I don't know node.js and it doesn't seem to provide anything I can't get in Python.
