Someone needs to write code for social networks to make content/trigger warnings hasslefree.
@nullvoid9 that shouldn't be any harder than spinning up a software copy of your mind, having it read the thing and seeing how it reacted

@chaosprime I meant something like a series of pulldown menus from the user end, put together a content warning, with relevant content. -
@nullvoid9 that'd be a good way to show how gross standardizing triggers is and what a political football the list of topics will be, sure -
@chaosprime Look, it seems fair to me. On one hand, censorship is avoided, on the other those who might be affected get fair warning. -
@nullvoid9 sorry, i guess i'm feeling grim about the concept today. i'm mostly in favor of content notes (not trigger warnings). -
@nullvoid9 but i kind of feel like you're all thinking of it in terms of easy cases that obviously need to be labeled in some clear fashion. -
@nullvoid9 whereas i'm super looking forward to "HOW DID YOU NOT CLICK TO NOTE ABLEISM, YOU USED THE ACTUAL WORD STUPID" and such. -
@nullvoid9 people who think only of how it'll work when it's working, not how it'll work when it's breaking, kind of really really anger me. -
@nullvoid9 i mean that about systems in general, not this particular one. - 1 more reply
