I think the first mistake critics make is seeing Bitcoin as something benign, instead of a giant money laundering, drug buying, technology.
@whateversusan @jennygadget Money laundering, sure, but you say "drug buying" like it's a bad thing. Isn't circumvention of bad policy good?

@chaosprime@jennygadget LSD? Heroin? That's what Silk Road sold. Also child porn and other horrors. -
@whateversusan@jennygadget LSD? Hell yeah, what's the problem? Unstandardized heroin kills, so not super fond of that. Last bit = on point. -
@chaosprime@jennygadget I think the "circumventing bad policy" angle has the potential to be trouble, b/c"bad policy" = highly subjective. -
@whateversusan@jennygadget And what can be used to circumvent bad policy can be used to circumvent good policy. -
@whateversusan@jennygadget So, y'know, maybe like with Prohibition, policy should be less shit so as to remove that evolutionary pressure. -
@chaosprime@jennygadget In some cases true, though we are way off topic. People will always do illegal things. Bitcoin enabled them.
