Serious question: When someone says something that makes u feel uncomfortable by highlighting/challenging yr privilege, how do u respond?
@OaklandElle Very situational. Direct in-person, typically chagrin if from friendly source, anger if from hostile source.

@chaosprime do you ever take a step back to examine the source of the hostility, or do you just dismiss it because of tone? -
@OaklandElle Yeah, if I have the leisure to. I have more than enough sore spots to understand that people have theirs for their reasons. -
@OaklandElle I still want to punch the dude who started yelling "say scuse me, white boy!" at the guy ahead of me on the bus last night, tho -
@OaklandElle But, y'know. In full context, I doubt that punching him is really a just or helpful behavior.

@OaklandElle If reading material, likely by working it into repertoire of snark about whatever privilege category is at issue.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
