Well apparently I and my stalwart buds on the panel yesterday made some ill-conceived remarks that have gotten the Twitterverse upset.
@d_m_elms Not for nothin', but wasn't that McFarlane on that hobbyhorse? @gerryconway

@chaosprime@gerryconway Instead, I'd focus on issuing a statement saying "Hey, I don't agree with what Todd said." But nope. Smile'n'nod. -
@d_m_elms Hm. Outrage at McFarland yes, can't support outrage at@gerryconway for not being outraged enough. Second-order punishment: no. -
@chaosprime@gerryconway I take issue that the others didn't say "Niw, hold up a moment - that view doesn't represent mine." -
@d_m_elms Yeah. Thing is, the culture that builds is one of compulsory denunciation, which is an unmitigated horror.@gerryconway -
@d_m_elms Speaking up should be an act of courage, not fear. You can't compel courage. If you compelled it, it's fear.@gerryconway

@chaosprime@gerryconway He also described how Todd's a new friend. If someone were as ass-hatted as Todd's remarks point him to be -Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@chaosprime@gerryconway Conway could have easily said "Now, hold on, Todd - that's not my opinion. I don't share it." Nope. Smile'n'nod.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
