watching Wild Wild Country with @noelnotdothing. it's fascinating stuff. really feeling like i need to make a deep study of Osho, since everything that comes out of his mouth other than i-am-marketing-to-hippies shit i agree with, so i wanna figure out how he got so fucked up

idk, i don't buy all his schtick either though. he wants to play like, oh, i'm just ~awake~ and trying to make you ~awake~ (but somehow nobody else ever is), these people are just worshipping me because they love me so, what am i supposed to do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but that's horseshit, the way he's being treated is happening because he wants it and that goes to the checking out, it feels to me like as long as he was getting worshipped he was happy to delegate all the actual nuts and bolts work and let it sort itself out

It's too bad cause lots of what they were doing was impressive. Plus they got militant as soon as it became relevant. If they had someone more diplomatic in charge, things might have turned out very differently.

yeah, she was *amazingly* bad at de-escalation and, y'know, not seeming incredibly sinister
