Absolute stupidest part about it was the initial impulse came from getting food poisoning from bad Chinese after watching Drag Me To Hell. Spent an unpleasant night trying to decide if it were possible for the boyfriend to rescue her after learning occult shit.

I eventually decided, "no" because hell would be a different evolutionary landscape designed to turn failed souls into ones that maximally contrasted those in heaven, so she'd be rendered irredeemable too quickly. It was a fun night, obviously.

they don't live in LA but the outbreak of drama was cruel abandonment in New Zealand (with a full staff) in favor of the UK homestead so i dunno if safety is exactly a thing
