true way is to accumulate perspectives which can be deployed at will (such as closed system entropy, strong determinism, the universe being filled with the light of divine love, and eternal recurrence) that can be used to bludgeon reason into submission when it gets out of hand

still gotta say, if you look at the stuff the man actually wrote about his beloved ewige wiederkehr, it's hard to miss seeing that the idea was deeply entrenched with an utterly wretched and half-assed mid-19th-c. understanding of astrophysics and thermodynamics.
