I’m not testing the theory directly, I’m (attempting) testing a larger idea, that I’m not smart enough to see all at once. Seems like getting my ass kicked mentally is expediting the process.

i know a similar feeling...seeing some huge pattern structure, finding instantiations of it, but lacking the cognitive (or other) tools to put it all together and find the right language to communicate it
