huh my working definition of courage has always been "being scared and doing it anyway" so idk if i'd agree with this proposed definition for faked courage

same definition the point of it is that faked courage is the same thing as real couragehttps://twitter.com/chaosprime/status/1253110643227533313 …

I’m feeling autoveridicality but that courage example isn’t quite right. Classic conceptualization of courage a la Aristotle is to proceed (properly) despite (proper) fear, not due to lack of it
-
*nodnod* i mean the same thing like, "fuck, i'm terrified, but i'm gonna fake being courageous and do what i gotta do", carried out, is courage

is it? it can sometimes be something else, like dissociation i have noticed that many thoughts akin to "huh, X feeling seems to be performative" often belie a lack of understanding i have of X
-
'performative' was suboptimal word choice, too much discourse using it as synonym for 'phony' i guess i'd want to know how someone implementing courageous behavior through dissociation is not courageous, and what implementation vehicles would mean one were courageous
