consider how many people, given sufficiently advanced genetic engineering, would choose to edit out their reproductive drive because it's just so much fucking trouble and now you know what the Great Filter is

i mean, typical reports from people on SSRIs about it don't sound so much like people who are serenely without sex drive, more like people whose sex drive is clogged like a drain and are pretty fucking unhappy about it

yeah seems interesting. I’m not a trained statistician so if I were super serious about this I would find someone to do the lit review and methodology critique and whatnot, but that’s the right idea. sample size seems absurdly small, but what do I know.
