vaguely in that direction, but more like "i justified myself to the self-judgment part of my brain (which is extremely dangerous) in terms of who i might become and then i became it and it isn't all that, so now i'm fucked"

Hmm sounds like something that would happen *after* achieving success. Or do you think people have enough foresight to doubt that it might happen hence causing fear but not enough to know for sure it’s gonna happen and abandon the project altogether?

yeah, i think it gets mapped out subconsciously, and this isn't really a *conceptual* mapping, so it just surfaces as anxiety and paralysis
