im not sure how i feel about it. i know i've only ever been inside a very small bubble tightly coupled to the public school system since i was born, but i find it hard to believe that people haven't made it to at least stage 4.5 by the end of high school. it's such a common sight

nah, that's just all Chapman bothers with because there's so little in the way of examples to work with that Kegan and Kohlberg were just waving their hands at that point and he figures getting people to stage 5 is more than enough to worry about
