being able to exist with people disliking you is the most amazingly important skill and you'll never learn it in school because school doesn't want you to have it, doesn't want you to know it's a skill, considers you acquiring it a catastrophic outcome

Definitely where I acquired it. When you're far enough down the pecking order, schools want you to learn how to suppress your distress and injuries so you don't cause a scene.

Well, I was actually in polar opposite situation, being a bully and a "seed crystal of organized delinquency" as a teacher once called me, but then being a problem girl meant getting two free meals instead of one, and 2*food > mpathy of people who can neither help nor really hurt
