If you don't make sport of death then are you even living?

I'm a member of the "valhalla club" probably three times over due to tapping too late (read: not at all, due to being unexpectedly unconscious) to strangulations, so: gamifying death, check

don't worry, if the guy choking you is paying attention then you probably won't die

I can only find the FB link unfortunately, but, against trusting your opponent to keep you alive: this video of this match/referee had my club in paroxysms recently. yeesh.https://www.facebook.com/697877113681692/posts/1765904506878942/ …

clarification for those uninitiated into the mysteries: the referee believes this is merely a pin & treats it as such, while the guy is getting strangled for a long damn time *after* falling unconscious

Tajikistan even looks up at the ref when the guy goes out, and presumably looks toward the camera at his coach, then shrugs internally & thinks, "конечно, all men must die.

props to the casualness & resolution with which he settles into giving this guy possibly-fatal brain damage

how fast the guy's arm goes limp is startling nice job ref on being perfectly placed for said arm to be out of line of sight

cool, right?
one of the other coaches says a choke can put your lights out in 3-5 seconds—I usually tell ppl 1-3 seconds, speaking from both observational & first-hand experience.
also yeah ... wonder if this ref had something against this guy lmao1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -
I was always weirdly resistant to chokes, to the point that when the instructor (judo) tried to demonstrate one on me he had to keep trying for about a minute before it caught. Never been choked out. I'm led to believe other people can go out right away. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
