Would you say your sibling has a greater capacity to suffer than a snail? And a snail more than a rock? Why? We understand that suffering is a function that evolved in us because it has survival value, and we know the same structures to differing similarity exist in most animals.

So the suggestion that wheat can suffer, if you were being serious, is completely absurd. Suffering is a complex mechanism. Plants that don't have the brains to create it or more importantly the evolutionary pressures to make it possible won't develop it for no reason.
