        yeah, i can't call it, the number of them that "teach all the liberal sciences", presumably including polisci, is extensive, and nobody talked about perverse incentives when this shit was being written down

        Very good. Another lesson: many conflicts might be settled with a compromise that involves splitting the prize, (that's what lawyers do). But not _all_ ...prizes can be split. @robinhanson

        There's a principle at my old job that involved encouraging/enabling people to THINK and solve their own problems. Sometimes this involved coaching. Sometimes it involved being just a little bit terrible.
