I wouldn’t intuitively trust a supernatural intelligence, thinking from first principles. But as a purely practical matter, I wonder: How often do you find “you” knew better than the still small voice? Me? Actually never. Spooky, makes no sense, but utterly dependable so idgaf.

Fun joke of course, but you don't really need a supernature. Only someone older and wiser. However, democracy actively persecutes the wiser (and the older). Powerful incentives to act foolish even if you're not.

More prosaically still, given that there are negative rewards for wisdom, who is going to put in the effort to develop any? Can't stop getting older, but staying a dumbass is easy.
