just think, if the 9/11 response had had a slick #GenerationCheckpoint campaign waiting to make sure you blamed missing your plane on Islamic extremism, we probably would have nuked Iran by now

imagine writing a book called Manufacturing Consent but it's about mass media that you're allowed to turn off, not compulsory public education

I still kind of am missing why westerners are so profoundly affected. We had all kinds of batshit drills. I had mandatory "good girl wife" lessons as "punishment" for beating other pupils up (it allowed me to grab 2 meals instead of 1 at state's expense tho, lol...)

We had about, I think, 5 or 10 very lackluster nuke drills where we all pretended to be dealing with an atomic bomb falling on our shitcraterstanian shitfucked povertytown, and we all just met it with roaring laughter every time.

might be that nobody on hand was repetitively reinforcing displays of disintegration and anxiety with attention and affection

I dunno, teachers did their best to make it look serious, It's just like... it's obviously fake. It's a drill that is known to be a drill. You aren't getting sliced in half by hypervelocity debris or crushed by blast wave.

I don't think one can actually get shot to death, or into an ambulance, in western shooter drills, can one? You haven't gotten to the stage when you taser kids to make it more realistic, yes?

It's kind of like, a lot of people in the west don't have some critical firewall in place, to just straight up -j DROP random bullshit random strangers want you to empathize with them about.

as far as i know the distance that we've gone is having administrators firing blanks in the hallway and using blood squibs. a good way to keep this from coming across as obviously fake is to not tell the actual teachers it's a drill
