the most vicious domestic strife occurs between people whose dopamine is wired up to being the kind of person who lives in a well-kept house and those who don't have that but the truly lost ones are those wired up to being in a house that is well-kept *by someone else*

thank you for succinctly summarizing my current roommate drama although I *will* fault you for assuming this is a dopaminergic process because if I've learned one thing in grad school it's that there are a lot of neurotransmitters
