when i was a teen, older acquaintes who were about the same age i am now would always tell me that they could no longer stay up all night as they used to i wad horrified, promised it would never happen to me i don't break promises i slept 3 hrs the past 3 days w no uppers

so does drinking a lot and other fun stuff i try to avoid things that kill braincells/are harmful in general but some of them are so pleasant it takes a while to evaluate whether or not it's worth it

killing neurons via sleep deprivation to increase plasticity to cure depression is one of the most rube goldberg therapeutic practices i know of but it seems to work
