yeah, i've run into people calling it flow much more often but i'm concerned that it may be very different from the phenomena 'flow state' was coined to describe and we may be fucking up our models by calling it that

Pretty much explains why humans procrastinate and have short attention spans. Evolution could not entrust us with hyper focus — we eventually just ignore some other stimulus and just die.
