That first kiss is a memory, and no longer exists in the sense that the table beside me exists. By that analogy, you're tacitly admitting the ego ceases to exist.

are you trying to win something here by making me roll my eyes so hard i damage my optic nerves maybe idk, the way you keep talking past me to try to argue with someone who isn't here makes me suspect you think i'm talking about the 'ego death' psychedelics evangelists refer to

i assure you i am not. that is not ego death; it is barely an ego naphttps://twitter.com/chaosprime/status/1067105914824605696 …
Chaos added,
Chaos @chaosprimeincidentally, i've learned that erowid types have appropriated/polluted the concept of ego death so as to map the phrase to psychedelic experiences of oneness with the universe or whatever the fuck. this is wrong. that kind of experience could result in ego death but need notShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

What you describe here is permanent. It's the first question I asked. And, when you said a new ego grew back immediately, it was certain you were talking about something you have never experienced.

It was also clear that, if you ever meditated, it did nothing for you. You never got far enough to realize the insubstantiality and impermanence of the self. You actually believe it exists, and you dismissed the idea that it differs from moment to moment.

And it seems very, very doubtful you have achieved dhyana, let alone samadhi. If you had, you would know what it is like to have the ego broken to bits.

lol it would be really challenging to understate how important it is to me what you think my credentials are you asked me to explain some shit, i gave it a shot because i like being helpful, all other things being equal

but if somebody on the ground reached for me to help them up, then it turned out they wanted me to try to pull them up so they could prove how strong they were in clinging to the ground, that shit would get real old real fast

But you didn't help anyone. You horked up nonsense. And, when the inconsistencies of your claims were noted, you dug in your heels. You threw sand. You clung to your idea of a dying ego like grim death.

And you could not then, and probably still can't now, admit that maybe you were mistaken. Maybe people that sit on cushions for a chunk of their life have learned something about this ego business.
