it didn't go anywhere, it's a bunch of neural patterns. you just weren't running inside it for a second. to kill it, it has to crash because the things it operates through connection to aren't available or aren't responding in the fashion needed

So, there's this thing that has to be killed, but it's just a pattern and appears and disapppears all the time anyway, and is never the same from one minute to the next. See why this ego death seems confusing? I don't understand what actually dies.

it doesn't appear and disappear all the time, and to the extent that it's different from one minute to the next the incremental differences are trivial think of something you do that's important to you. that's part of your ego. the significance it has to you is what would die
