am i though? someone who's read the article presumably read "Freedom in a society happens when, and only when, that entire society demands freedom. When the entire society earnestly demands freedom, even the most murderous tyrannies are rendered powerless."

sure, tho, true story. does it even need explaining that "this one high-cohesion society could do this thing in a fashion i'm going to call without guns even though the entire society has military training, therefore no societies need guns" is a miserable excuse for an argument?

do you have some kind of thing where any kind of restatement using words other than the exact ones in the source is a "misinterpretation"?

right, except this is LITERALLY WHAT HE'S SAYING, his EXACT WORDS claim that you can only have freedom by mass action as a high-cohesion society, and that because this was possible this means nobody needs population armament

and you keep telling me i'm misrepresenting and strawmanning because i persist in reading what he's actually saying instead of what you want him to be saying because it supports your polemic objectives

at no time of course do you offer any concept of what's inaccurate about my reading, you just point at it and say it's bad

sorry my reading comprehension is so high i'm able to parse through to "America should give up guns and demand freedom through high-cohesion social action. oh, America can't do high cohesion? guess they wish they were cool like us"
