How reasonable is it to use resistance bands on the bar to simulate 2-4 plates of extra weight? Considering this as an alternative option for home gym set that doesn't put hundreds of extra pounds on my floor.

seems like resistance would have different properties from weight but that would be... good? it's not like if you have need of your muscles outside of training it won't be vs. resistance sometimes
