a marriage necessarily involves at least 3 minds in the original binding ritual though: the couple and the officiant. often the marriage egregore also includes members of the extended friends and family network too.

despite it being retroactive justification that's a really fruitful point, it's very relevant to consider the ways that the inherently highly networked nature of human social cognition extends the reach of egregores at some level of attenuation into those not obviously "in" them
