      tbh the superhero is a kind of lobotomized overman who is not choicelessly bound by social goods, having the power to ignore them, but chooses to be bound by them anyway, because something had to happen to the morality play tradition

          It's funny, I've been reading One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100, both of which fit that description quite well. Good people with overwhelming powers who want their defining traits to be their humanity (read: their social goodwill in a traditional expression)

          It's deviants who are invariably villains, even the good deviants, who are less-bad, are drawn to the "good" and become better. It's fun to see, a little mind-numbing, activates my "wow how selfless!" feelings which, now I think about it, feel a lot like nostalgia...
