awwww yeah! This tips me toward streaming Qud again sometime soon. Would you say this supersedes my own (tiny) gender mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1388652064 … ? I.e., if I install your mod, will "apple farmer's daughters" automatically be scrambled up to include vari-gendered farmer-progeny?

it should be totally compatible! my mod doesn't directly manipulate AFDs so nothing you're doing should be interfered with. you could use some of the support involved to randomize their gender, but you'd have to make a custom part to publish the childTerm into their DisplayName

Aha, OK. I'll take a look and see if I can figure out how to integrate it!

Ah shoot. I've changed hard drives since I last edited my mod and I can't seem to find the relevant files. Do you know where mod files go when you subscribe to them on the Workshop?

All right, I think I've figured out the basics of how to dynamic-pronounify the "daughters". Got a few questions, tho! (Let me know if I should bug off, or if there's a better place to ask) ...

1. Is there a way I can package this such that it doesn't depend on or conflict with your mod? At first I thought I'd request permission to include your Genders.xml and PronounSets.xml, but I guess that'd replicate 75% of the functionality of your mod, haha.

2. Could I get a breakdown of how e.g. this line in the Urshiib blueprint works? <tag Name="RandomGender" Value="male,male,female,female,genericpersonalsingular,personalsingular" /> It looks like that's 1/3 chance of male pronouns, 1/3 female, 1/6 they/them, 1/6 ???

ahh, yeah, genericpersonalsingular and personalsingular aren't specific genders, they're selectors from the pool of whatever genders exist. the "singular" part excludes (true) plurals, personal excludes inanimate object genders, and generic excludes uh some level of customness
