Speaking of phylacteries and latent antisemitism in gaming and geek stuff, there’s a big entangled mess concerning the Sephiroth and Kabbalah in general in fantasy that also comes from it’s appropriation by Western ceremonial magic traditions.

In my head I worded almost the same thing, so as a part Jewish gamer with Jewish friends.. It’s positive representation sometimes, it’s not at others. But mostly it’s a cool dressing. And preferable to learning yet another fantasy pantheon each game/edition.
