looks like Philosopher's/Sorceror's stone has averaged about 20 million a year, which the Bible didn't even look like it was *trying* to beat in any given year from 120 to 1450

well, some people might say that it's unfair to include the years of the Bible's publication before the invention of movable type or, for that matter, block printing, but i don't feel like the Bible is some fainting flower that needs special pleading on its behalf
