does anybody who actually performs creative work not regard "idea guys" as vermin that, in a less enfeebled society, it would be permissible, nay encouraged, to slay to test one's sword if not, why are "thought leaders" treated with any greater degree of tolerance

What kind of “idea guys” are we talking here? The kind that expect other creatives to pick up the “slack” & then take all the credit? Some other variety? I only ask because I refer to myself as an “idea person” in that I’m full of ideas, but implement them myself. Should I stop?

i'm just glad the only place that I would have to deal with this in music is through commission where some input/direction is expected i feel really sorry for coders, artists, script writers and so on :( esp. if micromanaged

if your creative director is doing it then you're presumably getting paid i was honestly thinking of people who want to drop ideas on creatives because obviously what's holding things up around here is the lack of some rando's amazing input

i just thought maybe you might want to devote the next several years of your life to this thing i thought was cool, idk how you'd execute it, i'm more of an idea guy
