proposition 1: i avoid letting myself get hungry because i become incredibly hair-trigger irritable proposition 2: i am incredibly angry all the time and self-medicate that with the feeling of satiety is there a difference between these propositions besides basis perspective
my blood pressure is medicated but good in its medicated state, i have no idea where my insulin sensitivity is at, i feel like 48 hours fasting wouldn't do me any physical harm but i dread its effect on my mood and concentration

some people seriously swear by fasting actually increasing mental acuity after you get over the initial hump. same thing about this ketogenic diet idea - have read several interviews with people who say that it improved cognition and stabilized their mood and energy levels

hearing about these things excites me because they're new things to try that may be better than my existing method, but i definitely believe they work extremely well for some and are harmful for others.

a juice fast is another less drastic idea. this whole question is actually something i've been researching as a priority lately. i wonder if the irritability we notice is a drop in blood sugar. i need to buy one of those devices to monitor blood sugar without finger pricks...
