Yes. Although I also think that originally it was the case that long, detailed recipes were by far the most useful (e.g. meathead for barbeque), and people, unable to emulate the actual quality, switched to the slice of life garbage partly in emulation of this. Then, I suspect >

that partly, much of the consumers of recipes may actually still be women, mothers, housewives and etc., and that this somehow has made this nonsense tolerable. The average long-recipe is still better than the average allrecipes or spruceeats content-mill garbage, IMO.
