The final hurdle in getting the anti-fungal medication that I need is, of course, insurance. My GI & family docs consulted with pharmacists, then ran an EKG, and this is the best option for me. But it's 600x as expensive as the other one. +

So insurance requires a review by an infectious disease specialist for this drug, with won't give me a heart attack like the cheaper one would. Meanwhile, the fungal esophagitis has now grown-up into gross thrush, so I'm in a really bad mood.

I just got the most hilarious news. My prescription is approved but the pharmacy is out of it! They're going to call me back when they find a location that has it in stock. Which is fine, I'm cool with fungus growing unchecked in my throat forever.

Yay, they found it! I talked to a human who confirmed it, and it will cost me $25, and I have a ride to fetch it. Everything is eventually going to get better.
