lmao $825 rent? well that should be easy to find here in sunny san francisco you know what’s fun? having managed to respawn myself twice i am obligated to pay for childcare, which here is $2600 per month, or ~1.2 millennial avocado toast budgets. for the privilege of working.

i’m not mad for current me. current me is v privileged and not missing any meals. but 2 years ago i was in a shelter with no safety net. how lucky for me that our capitalist system currently values my skill set. hooray. now what about all the other people still in the shelter?

with roommates the rent's doable anywhere other than nyc/bay area. replace donations with savings and that's not too far off from my budget when i was living in boston, except didn't spend nearly that much on restaurants.

You can get decent 1-bedrooms in Chicago for $825. There are cities other than SF in this country. WTF is up with $600 in donations to ethots though
