even if the teleporter kills you and builds a new you with your memories at the destination, it's still you, with the same consciousness, if there's only one consciousness whose experience is mediated by the senses and memories of each of its infinite perspectives

Some would argue that it's not you, since there would be a break in consciousness. But then again we experience breaks in our consciousness when we sleep or undergo anesthesia.

They are breaks if they are periods where there is no consciousness. With no thoughts or experience, there's nothing to be conscious of.
