the problem, though, is that when a platform decides to stop being neutral and moderate their content, it won't be according to the standards of any particular person, it will be the standards of what upper management things is best for the corporation.

there seems to be a hazard of participating in a socmed clique that has exquisitely tuned standards of what's sayable, unsayable, and compulsory to say where you feel those standards, due to their blinding correctness, can be compressed to 3-4 words and written into a corporation

I haven't been paying too close attention, but my impression is that the people pressuring Tumblr got EXACTLY what they wanted, at least until everyone leaves and they realize there's no one left to control.

All I know about are the "antis" (purity culture, often but not always in sjw drag). They've been pressuring Tumblr and a few other sites for exactly this for years.
