Ok now I have to spend a week thinking about what's most important to me with regards to magic; before thinking my intuition says it's to steer away from anything that makes it science, it's acausal & paracausal, and I want to lean as far back into the history of 'magic' as I can

I think this is awesome but also ultimately is a clarkeian causal system, which has much more representation than "what if legit paracausality and spaceships"

yeah, it is nailing it down, at the end of the day, just trying to keep the place where it's nailed down obscure (99.99% of magicians have no idea why anything they do works) what's paracausality mean to you?

I think acausal is something that operates entirely inside a realm but outside its rules and paracausal is something that influences that realm from 'outside', so the question of is subjective awareness influincing its causal substrate acausal or paracausal is a question of the

Nature of subjective awareness, is it embedded in its substrate or a realm outside of it?

A paracausal action may follow 'causal' rules inside its own realm but the influence is felt in another realm of causality altogether.
