= good, > nice ?
-
we could say that and it would be pretty obviously true, but i'm going for something slightly edgier, that the person who makes the actual choice to harm you is morally superior to the person who would never intend to but does anyway
-
Yeah but that's the difference between murder one and manslaughter, isn't it? Uh, not that legal system and proper morals have anything to do with each other so uh carry on.
-
God, being manslaughtered would be so insulting
-
yeah i'm basically saying that the murder one defendant is morally superior to the manslaughter defendant
-
I bump on the phrase "morally superior" but I actually do understand what you are saying; the one who takes the action to achieve the desired result has a purity, directness, and even respectability lacking in the one who takes an action without sufficient though to consequences.
-
And probably does less harm overall
-
Less _unintentional_ harm, at least.

The real hero of 2012 is the guy who is constantly trying to stop the main characters from destroying what may be the last remnants of Humanity and who fail at doing so only by incredible luck.

I... kind of disagree completely. Irresponsibility can be mitigated. Malice finds a way.

Love creates inappropriate responses. Inappropriate actions are mostly irresponsible. Exotically uncharted yet desired relations, must therefore be bad?
