Tradeoff is a stranger only knows a tiny slice of you, a single point, and so lacks the opportunity and depth to understand your capabilities to change and grow. Important to self-drive, but giving up support and inspiration is not a small thing.

to me, love and trust go together. Dictionary describes it as "firm belief in the reliability" while Black's Law says confidence enough in a person to be nominal owner of their property. Don't think most people have either of those 3 definitions of trust in a stranger!
