the main problem is that the free will skeptic has a lot to deal with. you usually need to outline controversial views of causality or equally controversial interpretations of modern neuroscientific findings to really motivate free will skepticism

it's just being sensitive to the fact that there are many different, competing ways to account for free will and what is important about it there is obviously substantive content about what makes up agency over our actions and what is important about that too. this is dishonest
