we do need to start more carefully drawing the subtle but important distinction between the nihilist, who understands that meaning is not revealed, and the annihilist, who wants to destroy all the things

Replying to @chaosprime @systemergent
And by "meaning is not revealed" are you implying the nihilist is a (fallible) "creator of meaning", rather than a "denier of meaning" (in the Nietzschean sense)? "Annihilist" doesn't exactly encompass "denier of meaning", which leaves us using the colloquial "nihilist".

I like your usage, though. Don't get me wrong- just interrogating the idea.

it's not that yon nihilist is uniquely a fallible creator of meaning so much as considering themself and everyone else that, but yeah like that the right word for Nietschean "deniers of meaning" is probably "hecklers" the proposed annihilist is active where they are passive
