I’m not sure what you mean here, isn’t agriculture about resisting impulses long enough to plant, harvest, and store crops?

A lot of feminism can be viewed (and many do, iirc) as a reaction to patriarchal norms established as part of the shift to agricultural societies. This probably isn't 100% right but there is some truth there
