Hang on, wait, hold up, just... Concealed ovulation? No overt physical signs? Does... What... I mean... WHAT? Human women DO have physical symptoms of ovulation. Not having them is uncommon. We have culturally programmed women to not look for them or not educated them abt it

Seriously, we have told ovulating people: * It's gross to look at your toilet paper or in the toilet * You are hysterical and oversensitive, any signs you may think you are seeing are imagined * You don't need to know any details about what any of your gross icky bits do
-
There's nothing physiological, natural or evolutionary about any of this, it's 100% culturally enforced ignorance. The physical symptoms are there, are clear, and those of us who know what are know when we're ovulating JUST FINE, thanks!

Alternate Just-So/Evopsych explanation: Lots of rape, and men targeting women that weren't showing signs of ovulation because they didn't want to take care of kids. Seems just as plausible.

This is obvious to anyone with girlfriends. Women’s inability to think about their cycle is practically universal and has to be the result of a genetic cognitive block. It’s a great way to run pickup once you can spot the signs it makes it easy to choose receptive women.

Lololol you think you know better than a woman when she's ovulating and are projecting into an evolutionary thing? this is the dumbest and most arrogant shit I've ever seen. saving for the collection

Yeah, that's why women without children who haven't been tricked are so happy. There's a much better explanation, which is that it makes prostitution - selling a 1/30 shot at having a child possible, which has a lower risk of fraud than selling a 1/1 shot.
