Long Game is an interesting app. Instead of being completely hands-off like Digit or Acorns, the savings experience is gameified. You play mobile casino games and the "house" is your savings account. IMO it needs slightly better game options to really take off. cc @CaseyNewtonhttps://twitter.com/longgame/status/949035934066118656 …

i feel like this is just making the problem i have worse, the one where i'm like "if you want that responsive a goddamned simulation, why don't you just play IRL"

i love deep, obtuse simulations like Dwarf Fortress, and always want them to have more world fidelity and options; this not infrequently leads me to consider that i should just exit the game and play pretty-high-simulation-values world around me

If save-scumming was an option, I'd be all over this.

I'm less than 100% confident that the respawning isn't glitchy so I'm stuck playing as if I've started up a game of hardcore mode on a console that might not be able to be started again if I reboot the system.
